For the first semester of the 113th academic year, students who wish to take more or fewer credits than the standard limit must apply for a credit overload or underload according to the university’s “Course Selection Guidelines.”

Eligibility:
- Students whose GPA in the previous semester meets one of the following conditions and whose application is approved may take up to 3 additional credits:
- Students in the four-year, two-year technical, and two-year vocational programs must have a GPA of 70, no withdrawal records, and no failing grades.
- Graduate students must have a GPA of 80, no withdrawal records, and no failing grades.
- Students in the top 50% of their department and year, with no withdrawal records and no failing grades.
- Students with one failing grade, no withdrawal records, and an average GPA of 85 or above.
- Students with one failing grade, no withdrawal records, and are in the top 20% of their department and year.
- Students pursuing a minor, double major, or facing special circumstances may exceed the credit limit with approval from their department head and the Dean of Academic Affairs, with a maximum total of 33 credits.
- In special circumstances, students may apply to reduce their credit load with the approval of their advisor and department head, but they must take at least one course.
- Undergraduate students who serve in the military during their studies may apply for flexible credit adjustments.
Credit Limits per Semester by Program (excluding overload/underload credits):
- Four-year program: 12-27 credits for 1st-3rd year, 6-27 credits for 4th year
- Two-year technical/vocational programs: 10-27 credits for 1st year, 6-27 credits for 2nd year
- Graduate programs: 6-13 credits for 1st year, at least one course for 2nd year
- Extended students: Must take at least one course, up to 27 credits.
Important Notes
- After the application is approved, students must add or drop courses online before the course adjustment deadline.
- Students reducing credits should carefully calculate if they have enough credits to graduate on time.
- Students who do not comply with credit regulations and do not apply for a credit overload/underload will be considered as having incomplete course selection and will be handled according to the university’s rules and regulations.
